We link to your account as a manager. Your account, your billing and your card stay yours. You never give us a password. You can remove us any time.
The Google Ads phone app does not show these screens well. Open ads.google.com on a laptop or a computer.
Have ready: the Gmail you use for Google Ads, and your 10-digit Google Ads account number (it looks like 123-456-7890).
✅ Accept our request
Sign in on a computer
Go to ads.google.com. Sign in with the Gmail that owns your Google Ads.
Pick the right account
Do you see more than one account? Pick the one with the number you gave us. The number is at the top of the screen.
Open Admin, then Access and security
In the menu on the left, click Admin (the gear icon). Then click Access and security.
Admin › Access and securityClick the "Managers" tab
At the top of the page, click the Managers tab. (The first tab, Users, is a different list.)
Accept our request
Under Link request you see Slate Systems. In the Actions column, click Accept. Follow the screen to finish.
A box asks for a reason? Paste this
Then your account has more than one admin. Copy this line, paste it in the box and send it. Then read the next part.
Slate Systems manages my Google ads.Text us: done
Text us done. A screenshot of the Managers tab helps us check it in one look.
🔑 "Needs approval from another administrator"
You click Accept and Google says: "Your request will need to be approved by another administrator." This is normal. Here is what it means.
What it is
Your account has 2 or more admins. For big changes, like adding or removing people, Google asks a second admin to say yes. It is a safety lock. Google calls it multi-party approval.
The reason line
Google asks you for a short reason. Paste the line from step 6 above. Google shows it to the other admin, so they know why.
Who approves
Any other admin on your account. Google sends them an email. They sign in, go to Admin › Access and security and approve the request.
If nobody approves
The request expires. Then you send it again. So tell the other admin before you send it.
See the list in the next part. Often it is an old web company or a person who ran ads for you before. Call them and ask them to approve. Cannot reach anyone? Text us. We help you find the way, with no password.
👁 See who is in your Google Ads
Open the Users list
Go to Admin › Access and security. The Users tab opens first.
Admin › Access and security › UsersRead the Access level column
You see each person: name, email and Access level. Admin is the highest. An admin can add and remove people and change billing.
Check each name
Do you know and trust every person? Is your own Gmail an Admin? Good.
🚫 Remove admins you do not know
Some names can be your web company or the person who runs your site. Text us a screenshot of the Users list before you remove anyone.
Open the Users list
Go to Admin › Access and security › Users.
Click "Remove access"
Find the person you do not know. In the Actions column, click Remove access.
Google asks for approval?
Then another admin must say yes, like above. See how it works.
Never remove these two
Your own Gmail, and Slate Systems on the Managers tab.
➕ You do not have Google Ads yet?
No problem. Create it yourself, with your own Gmail. Not ours, and not your web company's. That way it is always yours.
Open Google's page
Go to g.co/localservices and click to get started.
Use your own Gmail
Sign in with your own Gmail. If you can, use the same Gmail that owns your Google Business Profile.
Follow the steps
Google asks for your business name, your area and your services. Use the same business name and address as your Google profile.
Text us your account number
Text us the 10-digit number at the top of the screen. We send our request. Then do the steps above.
