Why we ask

Google checks your insurance before your Google ads can run. With the right paper, it passes the first time.

This guide tells you what to ask your insurance agent for, and how to check it before you send it.

📋 What Google asks for

✅ The paper must match your Google profile

⚠
Check this before you send it

Name and address that do not match your Google profile are the number one reason Google says no. Look at both, letter by letter.

No insurance yet?

Call a local insurance agent and ask for a general liability quote for your trade. Many agents can send a quote and a certificate the same day. Tell them the minimum Google asks for (we send you the number). You pick the company. We do not sell insurance.

What it usually costs: about $80 to $250 a month for a 1-person business at $1 million per occurrence. It depends on your sales, your trade and past claims. Your agent gives you the exact price.

Why it helps you anyway: Florida generally asks licensed contractors to carry liability insurance (your agent confirms the rule for your license). One accident without insurance can cost more than the business. Commercial jobs ask for it too.

When: your ad can go live first, but the insurance must be ready within 14 days or Google pauses the ad. Start the quote today.

📅
Keep it current

Google can stop your ads when your insurance gets close to its end date. When you renew, send us the new certificate right away.
