What it looks like
From: a number you do not have saved (sometimes a short one, 5 or 6 digits)
A short message in English. It asks you to reply YES to confirm (or "authorize") text messages. It may mention your business name or "Slate Systems".
It can arrive at any time, a few days after you verified your identity.
Do not delete it
Do not mark it as spam. It is a real text and we are waiting for it.
Reply with the word YES
Just that word. No period, nothing else.
Do it within 24 hours
After that, the text expires and we have to request it again.
Let us know
A text that says "I replied" is enough. We check that your number got approved.
Missed the 24 hours, or deleted it?
Text us. We request another one and let you know when it arrives.
Why we ask
The US text-message registry asks the owner of the number to confirm that they authorize the texts. With your YES, your number is approved and the texts to your customers go out from day one.
